Turning Point | Youth Camp | Uganda

The CTMI National Youth Camp, held under the theme “Turning Point”, took place from 3 to 5 September at Calvary Grace Church in Buziga. It brought together 104 participants from the Eastern and Central regions of Uganda around the teachings of Boniface Mkami (from Mwanza, Tanzania), Evans Lukala and Stephen Okwalinga, the host.

Boniface opened the camp by urging the young people not to underestimate themselves, but to show courage and availability to God. He reminded them of their role as ambassadors, called to proclaim the Gospel and to bear its fruits.

On the second day, Evans Lukala exhorted them to take God seriously, to obey His Word and to watch over their testimony, stressing that young age is in no way a limitation to serving the Lord. In the afternoon, Boniface returned to the work of the Cross, calling each one to forsake sin and the ways of the world. The day ended with a time of prayer, and several young people repented of their former way of life and committed themselves to walking with God.

The final day centred on a question-and-answer session led jointly by Boniface Mkami, Evans Lukala and Stephen Okwalinga. The young people left encouraged and stirred to rise up for the work of God.
