Taking Root in the New Covenant | BUILD East Africa Conference 2026 | Nairobi, Kenya

The 21st edition of BUILD conferences in Nairobi was a special moment where the Lord spoke to His servants. Over 1,500 delegates gathered from across East and Central Africa (including Ethiopia and South Sudan), and from further afield (Zimbabwe, the USA, Mauritius, the UK and France).

Preparation began with over twelve mobilisation visits led by Apostle Stephen Gachengo as he travelled across Kenya sharing the message of the Cross and inviting all pastors to attend the conference in Nairobi from the 12th to the 14th of August. A team of more than fifteen brothers and sisters from the CTMI network churches also attended. Before the conference began, Apostles Miki Hardy and Stephen were invited by Elevate TV for an interview.

Apostle Miki delivered five sessions addressing key leadership issues: divisions, broken pastoral marriages, false doctrines, and the need to live the message of the Cross. Drawing on 2 Corinthians 6:3 and Matthew 16:24, he emphasised self-denial as the true mark of ministry. He challenged leaders to remove all legalism, reminding them that believers now live under the new covenant. Apostle Stephen also shared two sessions on aligning oneself with the apostolic ministry. Many senior Nairobi leaders attended and listened to the gospel message shared.

After the conference, Apostle Stephen hosted about fifty bishops for a lunch, where Apostle Miki had the opportunity to share a few words, encouraging all the men of God who attended to be more zealous than ever before for the Gospel.

The CTMI team expressed deep gratitude to Apostle Stephen Gachengo and the organising committee for their warm hospitality. The team continues to pray earnestly for the work of the ministry and for more open doors worldwide.
