ABOUT
WHO we are
Over 30 years ago, a vision was born in the hearts of Miki Hardy, his wife Audrey, and a team of leaders from various nations: to carry the message of the cross that had changed their lives to church leaders in Africa. Today, that vision has grown into an international ministry active in more than 40 countries.
CTMI exists to unite church leaders and Christians around one central message: Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Through conferences, leaders’ events, church visits, youth camps, and diverse media platforms, we equip leaders, strengthen Christians, and invest in the next generation.
CTMI is built on a growing network of churches, bound by deep relationships, nourished by the message of the cross, and continually transformed by the grace of God.

TIMELINE
A NARROW ROAD
1977
Mauritius experiences revival through a powerful charismatic move.
1978-1982
Young and zealous pastors return from Bible school in South Africa and join a church in the midst of revival in Curepipe, Mauritius. While enthusiasm, zeal, evangelism, and miracles abound, the church lacks spiritual maturity.
1982–1986
The leaders are faced with divisions, rivalry, and personal ambition, causing frustration and making collaboration impossible.
1986
In search of answers, Miki Hardy turns to Scripture and begins to share two fundamental truths: the structure of the Church (a return to the apostolic ministry) and the central message of the cross.
1987–1989
Key relationships are established across the Indian Ocean, Africa, and Europe with leaders such as Stephen Gachengo (Kenya), Richard Langworthy, Peter McKenzie, Basil O’Connell-Jones, Neil Martin (Zimbabwe), and Jean-Louis Gaillard (France).
1992-2000
Church conferences multiply. Miki Hardy and fellow pastors travel throughout Africa for over a decade, preaching in churches with a deep zeal to spread the message of the cross. Facing dangerous roads, modest meals, and sleepless nights, their shared trials strengthen relationships and the mission expands.
2000
The first international youth camp is organised, launching an annual tradition that continues to this day.
2001
Miki and Audrey Hardy gather several people deeply involved in the mission to share a vision: to pass on the message of the cross to leaders and churches, particularly in Africa. This moment marks the birth of CTMI!
2001
The first International Conference is held in Mauritius. These conferences continue to this day, drawing Christians from around the world for a week of teaching, fellowship, celebration, and above all the ministry of the Word.
2001–2010
To broaden the reach of the message, the mission embraces new platforms: 2001: Launch of the first website. 2002: First broadcast on Trinity Broadcasting Network. 2004: Publication of the first book. 2005: First radio program. 2006: Production of the first talk show.
2001-2011
Throughout this period, dozens of leaders’ conferences and hundreds of church visits are held across many countries—Mauritius, Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Madagascar, France, and others—reaching cities, towns, and remote villages with the message of the cross.
2007
The Workers in Training programme is launched. An initiative for spiritual training aimed at preparing the next generation of leaders.
2009
The Trianon Convention Centre (TCC) is inaugurated. A 3,000-seat venue, the fruit of a vision for a growing church.
2012
The first women’s conference is held in Kenya, aimed at encouraging them in their faith and strengthening their role in the church.
2013–2016
Leaders’ conferences continue across various countries, bringing pastors together, fostering new relationships, and deepening existing ones.
2015
The team grows. Regional “hubs” are created to better serve churches and leaders. The vision becomes clearer: to equip and strengthen leaders across Africa and beyond.
2015
CTMI launches several TV and radio programs, including Q&A, Today’s Message, Teachings, The Cross, and Leaders’ Live.
2017
Malaïka, the first television programme for Christian women in Africa, is launched. This women’s talk show aims to help them grow in their faith, break taboos, and find practical encouragement for everyday life
2017
The BUILD conferences are launched to equip and strengthen church leaders in their service.
2020
During the Covid-19 pandemic, CTMI goes digital, continuing to bring the message of the cross into homes through live broadcasts, Today’s Message, CTMI on Zoom, Q&A, 15 Minutes of Grace and Truth, and Leaders’ Live. Despite global lockdowns, connection and mission remain strong.
2021
Amid the global pandemic, when travel was impossible, CTMI launched a four-part international virtual conference, to continue equipping leaders. Over two years, more than 30,000 leaders from 50 nations were equipped and encouraged. Today, the BUILD conferences continue in person, with 10 events held each year across different regions.
2023
The CTMI mobile app is launched, bringing together all of CTMI’s content into one easily accessible platform for Christians everywhere.
2025
GROW is launched, offering believers worldwide a dedicated space to be strengthened in their faith and nourished in the truth.
To be continued…
Notre histoire
