Part 1/3. Rejoice!

How could we finish this year without giving thanks to the Lord for our wonderful International Conference, which took place from 15–19 October 2025 at the Trianon Convention Centre (TCC) in Mauritius; a great occasion to meet or reconnect with our brothers and sisters from around the world.

The International Conference is much expected every year, and once again, this week filled our hearts, as well as the TCC courtyard, with enthusiasm and joy. Over 700 delegates from more than 40 nations joined the church in Mauritius, bringing over 3,000 participants. More than that, we saw the fruits of the various missions over the years, with more than 250 leaders from the African hubs making the trip to attend the event.

Many participants gathered around the conference’s crowd favourite: the restaurant, and its much-appreciated Mauritian, Seychellois and Reunionese dishes. It was an opportunity to enjoy great food and to look back on our year together, sharing the hardships as much as the victories.

But Conference doesn’t only rhyme with what we already know and love. This year introduced new concepts that were warmly welcomed by the participants. On the one hand, a Makers’ Market set up shop in the TCC courtyard for two days and showcased local goods from many nations that delegates or Mauritian participants selected or made with love and taste. From jewellery to food, bags and even crochet stuffies, kids and adults each found a little something to bring back home.

On the other hand, the yearly hub reports left the conference stage to be broadcast from… Magali’s car! She took each leader on a ride along the missions, the challenges, the growth and the vision for each hub.

Each leader brought a touch of humour and lightness—sometimes even melody—without missing the crucial point: God has been at work in His church. The leaders have been challenged and restored, the youth are being set free from culture and worldly influences, and families are being invested in. These five unique car trips metaphorically illustrated the journey the CTMI team has been on this year.

All of this set the stage for the heart of the conference: the preaching of the gospel and the message the Lord had prepared for His Church this year.
