Church Visit | Pastor Jocelyn Sery | Mauritius
From June 6–16, the churches in Mauritius were strengthened through the teaching ministry of Pastor Jocelyn Sery, who ministered in a series of meetings across different regions of the island.
In Curepipe, the Church was encouraged to spread the fragrance of Christ and to become instruments of healing. In Goodlands, the focus was on our calling to comfort others with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. In Bambous, the Church was reminded of the central place of the cross and our identification with Christ.
In Trianon, two evenings brought further exhortation. The first encouraged believers never to say “no” to a God who has given everything, but to respond with a wholehearted “yes” to Jesus. The second warned against the desires of this present age, which wage war against the soul.
Through these meetings, the Church was encouraged to remain anchored in the Gospel, embrace the work of the cross, and continue reflecting the life of Christ in these last days.
