Europe Tour Stop 4 | Pastor Roland La Hausse | Nuremberg, Germany
On Thursday 14 May, brothers Eric and Davin accompanied us on the six-hour journey between Eindhoven and Nuremberg. This was CTMI’s first visit to a church in Germany. We made contact with Pastor Nobby through Johannes, who was part of the evangelism team that came to Mauritius last year.
On Friday, we met Pastor Nobby, who took us on a tour of Nuremberg’s famous old town. During the early years of the Reformation, Martin Luther found refuge there, as the city had become one of the safest and most open places at the time. Nuremberg played a key strategic role in the spread of the Protestant Reformation in Germany and became a gateway for its expansion to the rest of the world.
In 1963, Billy Graham preached to around 50,000 people at the Zeppelinfeld in Nuremberg, located on the former Nazi Party rally grounds. This gathering became a powerful symbol of the victory of light over the works of darkness.
On Saturday, Pastor Roland shared with a group of young people who were eager to learn how to serve the Lord rightly and become true disciples. A time of questions and ministry followed.
On Sunday, he shared freely on God’s desire to restore His Church to maturity through the powerful work of the Cross. We could sense that the message touched and challenged the church. It was a joy to have Eric and Davin with us, and they, too, had meaningful fellowship with those present.
We are grateful for the openness of the Church to the Gospel, as well as for the opportunity to get to know Pastor Nobby. We look forward to developing deeper contact and fellowship with him in the future.
Next stop: La Ciotat, France!
