Youths’ Lives Touched and Pastors Hungry for the Gospel | Pastor Peter McKenzie | Honduras

Pastor Peter McKenzie returned once again to Honduras, this time accompanied by nine brothers and sisters from the church in Sarasota.

The trip began with intensity through the very first youth camp organized by Pastor José and his church, set in the hills overlooking Tegucigalpa. Thirty young people attended and experienced unforgettable moments. Their days were filled with fellowship, sharing, and games, but above all, the Lord moved powerfully: several youth responded to His call for salvation and the restoration of their lives. The leaders of the local church see this event as a promising beginning and are already preparing for the next, larger youth camp.

The mission continued with a full day of meetings in San Pedro Sula, located four hours north of Tegucigalpa. More than 80 pastors and their wives attended, including several who had been present in previous gatherings. Once again, the Word of God touched many hearts, leading to a strong response. Many pastors expressed their desire to expand the scope of future meetings and to welcome even more participants.

Back in Tegucigalpa, the team enjoyed precious fellowship with local pastors already known from earlier visits. Everyone rejoiced to hear once again the message the Lord had for them and expressed deep gratitude for the fellowship and encouragement received.

The week concluded with a service in Pastor José’s church, followed by a special meeting with the responsibles. Peter encouraged them by emphasising that a church cannot walk alone, and he shared the biblical vision of building the Church through the fivefold ministry. Several members testified that they had been praying for years for the Lord to unite them with a larger team.

Returning to Sarasota, the team gives thanks to God for all that has been accomplished in Honduras and continues to pray that this work will grow and flourish.
