church visit | Eric Rufyiritana | germany

Brother Eric Rufyiritana, from Holland, visited the church in Cologne, Germany, for a time of sharing and encouragement.

During the Saturday meeting, Eric urged the brothers and sisters to develop a clear vision for the building of the Church, bearing in mind that it is Christ himself who is the true builder: ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain’ (Psalm 127:1). Through the example of Nehemiah, he encouraged the assembly to devote themselves fully to the good of God’s people, keeping a firm and faithful heart for God’s work, until it is accomplished. The call to prayer was received with faith, and the brothers and sisters responded collectively, in a beautiful burst of communion.

The next day, Éric continued in the same direction, drawing on 1 Corinthians 3:10-23. He warned everyone about the foundation on which they build their lives and their service: ‘Let each one take care how he builds’. He emphasised the importance of remaining in close contact with the apostolic team, in order to preserve a solid foundation in line with Christ. This link guarantees stability, fidelity to sound doctrine and unity of spiritual construction.

In Cologne, there is a real movement, a deep spiritual thirst and hunger, which bear witness to the fact that the Lord is indeed at work within the church.
