Return to the True Foundation | BUILD Conference | Pastor Miki Hardy & Stephen Gachengo
The BUILD Conference 1st edition in Tanzania was held at Amani Christian Centre in Tabata, Dar es Salaam, gathering over 1,100 pastors and church leaders from 14 nations. The event was preceded by strong mobilisation and preparation, with multiple committees coordinating logistics and volunteers from different churches working together in unity to prepare the venue and ensure smooth organisation.
The conference centred on a clear theme: a call for the Church to return to the true foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with emphasis on the message of the cross and sound doctrine. Key teachings addressed the danger of prosperity-centred preaching, the importance of the apostolic foundation of the Church, growth through suffering, and the cost of discipleship. Moments of prayer and reflection accompanied the sessions, allowing leaders to respond personally to the message.
Outside the meetings, fellowship was strengthened as participants shared meals together, creating opportunities for connection among leaders from different nations. The conference also received coverage through local media, extending its reach beyond the venue.
Participants testified to a renewed understanding of ministry, with many expressing conviction and clarity regarding their calling. The conference served as a time of encouragement and alignment, equipping church leaders to return to their ministries with a strengthened commitment to the Gospel and to building the Church, God’s Way.
Special thanks are extended to Bishop Lawrence Kametta and the church in Tanzania for their warm welcome and hospitality, as well as to all those involved in the organisation of the conference, including the coordination teams, media partners, and every participant whose commitment and unity contributed to it’s success.
