Remember Who You Are In God! | Pastor Marc Labonté | Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

The church in Bulawayo was blessed to welcome Pastor Marc Labonté from Mauritius for three meetings held at Selbourne Park Christian Church from November 20 to 24. Each service drew a wonderful turnout, with brothers and sisters gathering eagerly throughout the weekend, culminating in a large combined Sunday service with all the churches in Bulawayo coming together in faith and unity.

On Friday, Pastor Marc reminded the congregation that, as God’s children and co-heirs with Christ, they no longer belong to this world. He encouraged them to let the Holy Spirit write God’s covenant on their hearts, to resist worldly desires, and to walk in purity, unity, and genuine love for one another—as evidence of a transformed life in Christ. On Saturday, he urged the believers to surrender fully to God’s leading, trusting His guidance rather than trying to pull Him toward their own plans. He emphasised that being called out of the world requires humility, spiritual separation, and daily openness to God, so that His light may shine through them wherever they go. On Sunday, Pastor Marc continued to build faith and conviction as the churches of Bulawayo gathered, encouraging them to stand firm in their identity as God’s chosen people and to allow His Spirit to shape every part of their lives. He closed the meetings by encouraging the church to come out from among the world and live lives consecrated to God, so that their light may shine wherever they go.

These meetings left the church inspired and motivated to walk forward with renewed hope, deeper surrender, and greater expectation for all that God has ahead.
