Pastor Jocelyn Séry visits Grace Fellowship Church in Sarasota.
Pastor Jocelyn Séry from La Réunion, accompanied by his wife Claudie and a small team, visited the Grace Fellowship Church in Sarasota from 24 of March to 14 of April. After two busy weeks with the church, their stay ended with a family camp.
All gathered at Camp Kulaqua, they made the most of this friendly environment for two days of sharing, encouragement and good humour. Go-kart racing, canoeing, zip-lining, climbing, basketball and pickleball were all part of the fun and competition. Shared laughter and fellowship were excellent ways of bringing the church closer together.
The most memorable moments came during the messages from Jocelyn, who reminded us that our righteousness is sealed because we have been justified by Christ. As believers, we are called not only to rest on this truth, but also to live by it by agreeing to allow ourselves to be sanctified in our behaviour, our choices and our daily lives. Jocelyn also stressed the need for total submission to the apostolic ministry and to one another in the love of the Lord, and then urged us to maintain a sense of urgency to run to Jesus and away from sin.
This camp and, more broadly, this visit were a time of refreshment for the church, which left stimulated and filled with a renewed desire to live fully for the Lord.
