Now Is the Time! | CTMI International Teens Camp | Mauritius
The faithful Charlie (the camp megaphone) heralds the beginning of the International Teens and Youth camps, held from 25 to 31 December—a fitting way to close the year! “Now Is the Time!” sets the tone of the camp, and this year’s giveaway caps echo the message: now is the time to be still, to be victorious in the Lord, and to run the race. With over 450 campers, 75 delegates—and just as many sandwiches—14+ teams, one camp.
Under dust and a blazing sun, campers barely had time to drop their bags before reconnecting or meeting new friends from South Africa, the United States, DR Congo East, Reunion Island, the Seychelles… and even Honduras.
The Teens Camp emphasised the urgency of redeeming time and laying down one’s life to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Through workshops, meetings and activities, key themes were reinforced: diving into the Word, walking by faith, fellowship, and fixing one’s eyes on Christ.
Brothers Jocelyn Neeladoo, Bernard Banor, Len Boy and Tinei Kaiyo drew on biblical examples such as Samuel, Samson and Elisha to highlight the call to personal commitment, obedience and readiness to respond to God. Teens were reminded that God equips those He calls—when they respond and surrender.
The message was clear: now is the time to respond, to choose the narrow road, to lay down burdens, forgive, dive into the Word, and follow Christ.
This same call to urgency and commitment carried into the Youth Camp, where the Youth were encouraged to strive for spiritual maturity and be equipped to answer the calling on their lives…
