Pastor Roland La Hausse and his wife Véronique | Egypt
On Tuesday, May 6th, we landed in Cairo, moved by the history of a land where Moses walked, Joseph ruled, and Jesus once took refuge. From the sky, we glimpsed the pyramids—an awe-inspiring welcome. Brother Abram greeted us and drove us through the desert to Al Minya, a city with a strong Christian presence.
The following day, we met with Pastors Esam and Isaac, the organizers of a regional leaders’ conference. Their warm hospitality and shared passion for the Gospel confirmed that we were in the right place, at the right time.
Leaders’ Conference (May 8–9)
Over two days, about 70 leaders—pastors, elders, and ministry workers—gathered. Roland preached on “The Gospel is the power of God to transform His children into the image of Christ” and “Building the Church the right way.” The messages deeply stirred the hearts of those present. Many said it was the first time they had heard such teaching. On the second day, after a last message about the need “to lead God’s people in a spirit of Grace vs Law” we ended the conference with a lively Q&A on Grace vs Law revealed a deep hunger for truth and clarity. The Spirit of God was clearly at work.
Sunday Services
On Sunday, Roland preached at Pastor Esam’s church in the morning (about 50 people), and in the evening at Pastor Emad’s church, with around 120 attendees. Both congregations responded with openness and a strong desire for more. Pastor Emad is building a 700-seat church and has a clear vision for growth. The unity among pastors was encouraging, and doors are opening for future collaboration.
We returned to Cairo filled with gratitude. This mission was carried by a special grace—both spiritually and practically. Thank you for standing with us. The harvest in Egypt is ripe, and we believe this is just the beginning.
