Meeting with leaders | Patrick Meyepa | Uganda

On 9 August, the church in Kampala had the privilege of welcoming Brother Patrick Meyepa from Mauritius for a special meeting with leaders. This time of fellowship brought together 39 participants, including 5 from the Democratic Republic of Congo, 2 from Jinja (80 km from Kampala) and the others representing the four congregations in the Ugandan capital.

During the day, Patrick led two rich and edifying sessions. The first, on the importance of building on the foundation that has been laid, emphasised that leaders are called to build together on the pure Gospel to guide believers in their walk with Jesus. Faithfulness to the truth, vigilance against false doctrines, perseverance in trials and a commitment to ‘water’ the place where God has placed us were at the heart of this message. The second session was a set of practical and spiritual instructions and advice to encourage and equip leaders in their service within the church. Patrick urged them to protect the church from divisions, to defend the Gospel even at the cost of sacrifice, and to remain living examples for the flock.

This meeting was marked by an atmosphere of fellowship and unity, reinforcing the common vision and rekindling everyone’s commitment to building the Church on solid foundations.
