God Is Building His Church in West Africa | BUILD Conference | Pastor Miki Hardy | Lomé
After the very first BUILD conference in Senegal, Pastor Miki Hardy continued the mission in West Africa by travelling to Lomé, Togo, where he held a BUILD conference from 1 to 3 December. The team was blessed to begin seeing the fruits of many years of prayer, time, and dedication, as well as the relationships and local partnerships that had been built over time.
In Togo, Pastor Miki was warmly welcomed by the Assemblies of God, together with church leaders from the Corps du Christ federation. The President of the Assemblies of God in Togo, Pastor Adade, who had heard Pastor Miki in Niamey, Niger, the previous year, had insisted that he come to preach and share his testimony in Togo. The organisation, especially through the work of Brother Daniel, ran very smoothly, and the team was well received throughout the event.
The conference hall seated nearly 1,000 participants, including more than 150 leaders’ wives. Around 350 to 400 pastors came from across Togo, and over 180 visitors joined from neighbouring countries. Delegates came from seven countries, with Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo, and Benin alone accounting for nearly 150 participants.
Pastor Miki began by challenging the leaders, emphasising the fundamentals of ministry: having a heart for God’s people, preaching sound doctrine without compromise to build up the Church, and clearly distinguishing the Old Covenant, the law, from the freedom offered by the New Covenant.
The conference also provided a valuable platform for strengthening relationships. The team hosted gatherings with key visitors, and the audience had the opportunity to ask questions, particularly on the topic of law versus freedom. Many participants expressed their enthusiasm for the message and the event.
We can only thank the Lord for His grace, from Senegal to Togo. The Lomé conference marked a very positive conclusion to this mission, and the team rejoiced at the warm reception and the many hearts that had been touched.
