Far and wide across the south of France | Pastor Roland La Hausse

Pastor Roland La Hausse and his wife Véronique have just completed a three-week mission in the south of France. From the Périgord to the Côte d’Azur, they saw the hand of God strengthening the Church and opening new doors for the Gospel.

In Périgueux, they were delighted to find Pastor Rodrigue and the ARC Church. For the past two years, this church has regularly welcomed the CTMI team. On Saturday, Roland held two meetings on the importance of the ministry of the Spirit and the Word, and on living in the Spirit of the New Covenant. On Sunday, the church was packed to capacity to hear a message on the power of the Gospel in contrast to religion. The meeting ended with a meal together.

The following week, joined by Brother Laurent, they headed south-west to the home of Pastor Bernard and his wife Evangeline. Their son Moïse is in charge of Radio Bonne Nouvelle, a Christian radio station founded in the 1980s that continues to impact the region with the Gospel.

They were then warmly welcomed to the home of pastor Frank and his wife Camille in Biarritz. Roland led three meetings in his church: a meeting for couples on Saturday, followed by two consecutive services on Sunday, each attended by around 70 people. The church welcomed the Gospel with enthusiasm, and hopes to stay in touch in the future.

Heading back south-east, they spent a night in Carcassonne before arriving near Toulon to visit a young church that had recently been planted. Laurent and Maria were sent there to accompany a group of Christians touched by the message of the cross. Around 25 people gathered for a meal, followed by a message from Roland on sanctification through submission. The desire to grow in faith was clear.

The final stop was Nice, at the home of pastor Laurie and his wife Jennifer. During the Sunday service, Roland shared a message about the price to pay for following Jesus and growing in maturity in front of around 150 very receptive people. Roland and Véronique met several brothers and sisters who are already following CTMI, as well as a couple who are preparing to attend the International Conference in Mauritius in October.

It was very encouraging to feel the heart of Pastor Laurie, who recognises the need for restoration in the Church and wants to be part of what God is doing. We hope to see him again in Mauritius.
