In ministry, I often faced difficult situations, especially concerning divorce and remarriage. Many times, I approached these cases emotionally and out of sympathy, but deep inside I knew something wasn’t right.

Through the preaching of the message of the cross, the Lord corrected me and showed me how easily we can compromise the teachings of Christ in an attempt to please people.

In Egypt, we often see the Gospel being preached without it truly being lived. But when I came to Mauritius, I saw something different — unity, simplicity, the life of Christ expressed in believers, and a Gospel that was not only preached, but lived out daily.

This renewed my conviction that the Church must return to the true Gospel.
