Church Leaders Visit | Zambia
A team of four brothers — Levi Page, Ndumiso Sibanda, Joel Mandanji, and Brighton Charama — traveled more than 5,100 kilometers from Gaborone, Botswana, to Mwinilunga, Zambia. This journey was a follow-up to their first visit last June.
On the way to Mwinilunga, the team stopped in Lusaka to visit the local church and pick up brother Joel Mandanji. This stop proved to be a time of encouragement, particularly with the many young people present.
Upon arrival in Mwinilunga, the brothers were warmly welcomed. The relationship with CTMI is strengthening and there is a growing hunger for the Gospel.
The program was intense with four meetings per day. About 80 people attended the daytime meetings, and nearly 150 gathered for the evening sessions. A special moment occurred when the team used a large anthill on the property as a visual illustration. Like ants that work side by side with diligence, order, and unity to create something far greater than themselves, we too must work together and willingly surrender our lives to God’s plan. When the Gospel works in our hearts to bring us to this unity, something truly great can be built: a church that reflects Christ despite all challenges.
It was encouraging to see attendance grow at each meeting. Influential elders, both men and women, responded with humility, repentance, and a renewed desire to see again the united church as in former times. On Sunday, 300 people were there, including the local MP.
Seeing the Lord give faith to these leaders to return to a united church was very encouraging. There was a simple and authentic love for Jesus. The Lord gave grace to the team to share with great clarity.
At the time of farewell, there was a sincere call for more opportunities like this — more times of fellowship around the Gospel — so that Jesus may continue His work of building His church in Mwinilunga and beyond.
