Christ, Our Firm Foundation | BUILD Conference | Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

The BUILD Conference in Zimbabwe, led by Pastor Stephen Gachengo, gathered 116 pastors and church leaders on 10 and 11 March 2026 in an atmosphere of unity and expectation. The event opened with a warm welcome from Brother Annania Ncube, followed by an introduction from Pastor Richard Langworthy, setting the tone for a time of fellowship, reflection, and alignment.
Throughout the two days, the emphasis was on returning to the true foundation of the Gospel and strengthening the life and structure of the Church. Pastor Stephen encouraged leaders to remain grounded in Christ as the only sure foundation, highlighting the importance of strong personal lives, healthy homes, and unity in ministry. He also shared from his own journey, underlining the value of servanthood, teamwork, and walking in right relationships.
The sessions created space not only for teaching but also for personal response, with times of prayer and reflection. Many leaders were touched, responding with openness and a desire to move forward with renewed clarity in their calling. The second day continued in the same spirit, with encouragement for leaders to remain open to God’s work in their lives and to build their ministries on a solid and genuine foundation. The focus remained practical and personal, helping each one to reflect on their walk and their responsibility in the Church.
The conference concluded with a meaningful time of testimonies, where leaders expressed gratitude, renewed vision, and a deeper understanding of their ministry. Invitations were also extended for upcoming gatherings in Kenya (12–14 August 2026), Mauritius (21–25 October 2026), and Bulawayo (9–11 September 2026).
Overall, the conference was a time of encouragement, unity, and realignment, equipping leaders to continue serving with a strengthened commitment to the Gospel and to building the Church with purpose and conviction.
