Building Lives for the Kingdom | Richard Langworthy | South Africa
Pastor Richard Langworthy and his wife, Ingrid, arrived in Cape Town on 20 January 2026 for a two-week visit to Bridgeway Family Church Helderberg.
From 22–25 January, young adults from Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Durban, and Cape Town gathered at the Wortelgat campsite in Hermanus for the church’s first Young Adults Camp. Pastor Richard Langworthy, Brother Levy Masuku, and Brother Levi Page ministered during the camp, calling each one to a life set apart for the Lord. It was a meaningful time of fellowship and spiritual growth.
In the days that followed, the young adults continued meeting for worship and fellowship, and a combined home group meeting was held, during which Pastor Richard reminded us that the Kingdom of God is established not by building a physical church, but by building lives for the Gospel.
On Saturday, 31 January, separate men’s and ladies’ meetings took place. Pastor Richard spoke to the men on the character of a Christian man, while Ingrid shared with the ladies on the importance of daily time with Jesus. Both gatherings were marked by meaningful fellowship and encouraged hearts.
The visit concluded with the Sunday service, where Pastor Richard preached on being chosen by God by name to belong to Him. As this time came to an end on 3 February, the church stood with grateful hearts for a time clearly appointed by the Lord.
